UK First Aid and Safety Training have a range of Workplace (TAQA) Courses Available to be delivered at your own venue at a discounted cost. Alternatively you booking on to a first aid course at one of our national centres.
Professional First Aid Instructor
5 Days training with home work.
Our professional first aid training is very different to other packages on the market. We include the Ofqual Level 3 Education and Training as well as the Level 3 Assessors 2 unit qualification and First Aid at Work if you require it. This will allow you to have your own centre with any Ofqual accredited organisation (subject to criteria) or work as a first aid instructor for any one through out the country. The prerequisite if a First Aid at work qualification or current exemption.
Professional Care Trainers Programme
Who’s should attend:
Anyone who works in the care industry and is seeking fully recognised (Ofqual) qualification in teaching and assessing. Any Care staff trainers that are looking for fully regulated qualification that meet Skills for Care training, assessing and verification requirements. Any Care management that want to take control of their own training and know the trainer is fully qualified and competent and will meet their due-diligence in the event of investigation.
3 to 5 days training
Included is
- Ofqual Recognised Level 3 Award in Education & Training
- Ofqual Recognised Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement
- Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid for the Work Place
Centres wishing to deliver this programme must meet our criteria and be hold a level 4 teaching qualification.
Professional Mental First Aid Instructor
5 Days training with home work.

Learners will receive the PTDQ Mental Health First Aid Qualification.
RLSS Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor Courses
Trainer Assessors are responsible for the delivery of RLSS vocational qualifications throughout the UK.
If you are an experienced First Aider, Pool Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard, Beach Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher with National Rescue Award or Pool responders with ER Pool then this could be the next step for you.
What does it involve?
To become a Trainer Assessor, you will have to attend a course.
If successful on the course you will leave as a Probationary RLSS UK Trainer Assessor for AED and the qualification you have selected. The probationary period is a maximum of two years from course completion and you will be supported by a National Trainer Assessor or a Mentor.
Course Pre-Requisites
Every candidate attending a Trainer Assessor course must:
- Be 18 years of age,
- Be a member of the Royal Life Saving Society UK (Licence to Operator Membership) and
- Hold a full Qualification for the specialised course (e.g. if you are attending a course to be a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Trainer Assessor you will need to hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
Course Content
The Trainer Assessor course varies in number of days depending on what specialism you choose. The course will comprise of four modules:
- Train the Trainer (1 day)
- Train the Assessor (1 day)
- CPR and AED (1 day)
- Qualification Specialism, which can be any of the following:
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Trainer Assessor (2 days)
National Beach Lifeguard Qualification Trainer Assessor (3 days)
Open Water Lifeguard Qualification Trainer Assessor (1 day)
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches Trainer Assessor (1 day)
First Aid Trainer Assessor (1 day)
ER Pool Trainer Assessor (1 day)
